Comment Period Reopened Until June 1, 2026

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service reopened the comment period on its March 19, 2024 proposed delisting of the North Park phacelia. You may submit comments or requests for public hearings that are received or postmarked on or before June 1, 2026; electronic submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on that date.

Possible Removal From Endangered Species List

The Service proposed to remove the North Park phacelia (a plant found in Colorado) from the Federal List of Endangered and Threatened Plants based on recovery and an updated Species Status Assessment. The Service says its final determination may conclude the species is endangered, threatened, or does not warrant listing.
