Published Date: 5/7/2026

Notice

Summary

Nasdaq is giving its customers more time to remove their special GPS antennas from its Carteret, NJ data center. The original deadline was April 30, 2026, but now it’s extended to keep things running smoothly for those who rely on this service. This change mainly affects traders and tech teams using Nasdaq’s co-location services, with no extra costs announced.

3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.

Monthly Fee Continues During Extension

If you remain subscribed to the dedicated GPS antenna service during the extension period, Nasdaq will continue to charge the recurring monthly fee of $600.00 (prorated as appropriate) until the announced retirement date, but will not charge the $1,500 installation fee during the extension because new orders for the dedicated service are not permitted.

Removal Date Extended to End of May 2026

If you currently use a dedicated GPS antenna in Nasdaq's NY11 data center, the original April 30, 2026 removal deadline is extended and Nasdaq now expects to retire the dedicated GPS antenna service by the end of May 2026. Nasdaq will announce the exact retirement date by email to customers' Customer Portal Accounts at least 10 business days before retirement.

Dedicated GPS Option Closed to New Orders

Nasdaq stopped allowing new orders for the dedicated GPS antenna service as of September 30, 2025, so only existing customers could continue until the announced retirement. Firms that want time synchronization can request Nasdaq's shared GPS antenna service instead.
