FTZ 102 Seeks to Add St. Charles County

The St. Louis County Port Authority has applied to expand Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) 102 to include St. Charles County, Missouri. If approved, companies located in the added service area could be served by FTZ 102 and may access FTZ designation and its trade benefits, which can make importing and exporting easier and cheaper.

ASF Lets FTZ 102 Add Flexible Subzone Sites

The application uses the Foreign-Trade Zones Board's Alternative Site Framework (ASF), which can permit significantly greater flexibility in designating new subzones or "usage-driven" FTZ sites within a grantee's service area. The ASF operates in the context of the FTZ Board's standard 2,000-acre activation limit and would let the grantee serve sites throughout the expanded service area based on companies' needs for FTZ designation.
