Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 2 costs, 1 mixed.

Crop Insurance Reporting Burden

If you are a farm business responding to this collection (OMB Control Number 0563-0085), the Department estimates 13 respondents with a total of 2,947 burden hours. Responses are required on occasions and annually, and comments on the collection are due by June 10, 2026.

Identification of Ineligible Producers

The collection is used to identify people who are ineligible for Federal crop insurance benefits because of (1) debt from unpaid premium or overpaid indemnity, (2) debt from unpaid CAT fee, or (3) debarment/disqualification/suspension (including judgments or civil fines). If you meet those conditions, you may be identified as ineligible and prevented from receiving benefits.

Data Used to Set Coverage and Payments

The Department collects data elements that are used in part to determine insurance coverage, premiums, subsidies, payments, and indemnities and to support development of new crop insurance products. If you provide information, it may be used in these calculations and for product development.
