Natural Gas Reporting Extended Three Years

FERC is extending its FERC-577 information collection for three years with no changes to reporting requirements, so natural gas companies subject to FERC jurisdiction must continue to submit the same environmental review information. The Commission estimates the collection imposes 378,538 total annual burden hours and $38,989,414 in total annual cost (331,306 hours and $34,124,518 for environmental review; 47,232 hours and $4,864,896 for landowner notifications).

Affected Landowners Keep Getting Notices

Landowners whose property is directly affected by proposed natural gas activities will continue to receive required notifications before companies enter property. The notices must include a brief description of the activity and its effects, the name and phone number of a company representative, and the Commission's Dispute Resolution Service Helpline contact information.
