NOED Reporting Requirement Renewed

If you operate a power reactor or a gaseous diffusion plant and you voluntarily request a Notice of Enforcement Discretion (NOED), the NRC is renewing its OMB approval (OMB No. 3150-0136) so you must continue to submit the NOED information on occasion. A NOED request must justify the safety basis in accordance with the NRC Enforcement Manual (ADAMS Accession No. ML22056A177) and include an evaluation of safety significance and potential consequences, proposed compensatory measures, a justification for the request duration, and the basis that the request does not adversely affect public health, safety, or the environment.

Estimated Annual Paperwork Burden

The NRC estimates the paperwork burden for this collection as 8 annual responses (4 reporting responses + 4 recordkeepers) from 4 respondents, requiring a total of 680 hours annually (600 hours reporting + 80 hours recordkeeping).
