These information collections help assure properly trained mine rescue teams are readily available to save endangered miners and to protect the safety of the rescue teams themselves.

Paperwork for Underground Mine Operators

If you operate an underground mine, you must keep records showing mine rescue equipment has been examined and tested and that rescue team members have required training. The collection lists 1,369 respondents, 37,236 total responses, an estimated 6,186 annual hours, and $984 in annual other costs; OMB Control Number 1219-0144 and comments are due by June 15, 2026.
