HCONRES90119th Congress

Directing the Architect of the Capitol to place motor vehicle gas price trackers in the Hall of the House of Representatives and the Chamber of the Senate.

Sponsored By: Representative Rep. Stevens, Haley M. [D-MI-11]

Introduced

Summary

Real-time state gas price displays would be designed, built, and maintained by the Architect of the Capitol to show the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in each State and Territory and installed in both the House and Senate chambers. The resolution would forbid using appropriated federal funds for the tracker, allow the Architect to accept and spend private gifts and bequests to pay for it, and require an annual report to congressional leaders listing the amounts, sources, and how those funds were used.
