If enacted, VA doctors and other VA providers could recommend a State marijuana program to veterans. They could also complete the State forms that record their recommendation. This would only apply to veterans who live where a State marijuana program exists, including the 50 States, D.C., Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, and federally recognized tribes. The authorization would apply even if other laws say otherwise. It would take effect upon enactment.
