States could access military education data

This bill would set up a data-sharing process within 18 months. State education agencies could access records for people who graduated high school in their State and joined the military. Data could include AFQT score, school names, highest education, date joined, branch, rank, job specialty, and separation date. Some data on denied applicants could be shared too. States would integrate records into their data systems, with confidential transmission, current security standards, and compliance with federal, State, and local privacy laws.
