Tougher immigration penalties for Social Security and ID fraud

If enacted, noncitizens with certain fraud records would face tougher immigration consequences. This would apply to convictions or admissions for Social Security number or card fraud, ID document fraud, or conspiracy. It would also cover fraud in listed COVID-era small-business loans and restaurant or venue grant programs. People could be found inadmissible (denied entry or a green card) or deportable. It would take effect when the bill is enacted.
