Summary

Allows digital airman and medical certificates. This bill would let an individual present either a physical certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration or a digital certificate stored on an electronic device or in the cloud to an FAA inspector. Digital certificates must meet authentication and verification requirements set by the Administrator. The bill directs the FAA to issue a final rule by November 30, 2028 to update parts 61, 63, 65, 67, and 107 of title 14, Code of Federal Regulations and to provide related guidance.
