Tax break for veterinary loan relief
If enacted, veterinarians who get loan repayment or forgiveness through certain programs would not owe federal income tax on those amounts. This would cover the federal veterinary services loan repayment program and State programs meant to expand access to veterinary care. It would apply to amounts you receive in tax years beginning after December 31, 2025. It would only help people who actually receive these payments.
