Colleges risk aid over antisemitic events

If enacted, colleges that take federal student aid (Title IV) would face a new condition. They could not authorize, fund, or support events that promote antisemitism on campus. Antisemitism would be defined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition from May 26, 2016, including IHRA’s examples. Schools that violate this rule could lose eligibility for federal student loans and grants. If a school lost eligibility, students could lose access to that aid. The change would take effect upon enactment.
