This bill would require the Secretary of State to designate 30 named militias and related entities as foreign terrorist organizations within 90 days and prompt the President to decide on blocking sanctions under Executive Order 13224.

The President must report within 60 days after a determination on whether EO 13224 sanctions were imposed and explain any decision not to sanction.

Designate Iran-linked groups as terrorists

It would also cover any foreign group tied to, owned by, or controlled by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. This label would block many transactions and support under U.S. law and could trigger other sanctions.
Sanctions decisions on listed groups in 60 days
This bill would require the President, within 60 days of enactment, to decide whether to apply sanctions under Executive Order 13224 to the listed groups and related affiliates. The President would need to report to Congress within 60 days after each decision and explain any choice not to sanction. The State Department, with Commerce, would also report every 180 days on new entities that may qualify for designation or sanctions.
