Moab uranium site transfer to Grand County

This bill would let the Energy Department give the Moab uranium cleanup site to Grand County, Utah at no cost. The transfer would happen only after the Secretary, with regulators and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, decides cleanup is complete enough. The land would carry any health and safety limits under federal radiation rules. The United States would keep needed water rights, including access to wells if groundwater cleanup continues. Grand County could not sell or give the land to a private group or nonprofit. The Secretary could add other terms to protect U.S. interests.
