Summary
Makes private cord blood and cord tissue banking costs tax-deductible as medical expenses. This bill would amend the Internal Revenue Code to treat amounts paid for private umbilical cord blood or cord tissue banking services as medical care expenses deductible under section 213(d)(1) when those services are provided by an accredited bank that complies with Public Health Service Act section 361 regulations. The change would apply to tax years beginning after December 31, 2024.
