Paid, no-cost, and better-timed training for school food service workers. This bill would require training carried out under the Child Nutrition Act to be scheduled during regular paid hours when possible, be offered in person if appropriate, include experiential learning, and be provided at no cost to food service personnel.

- If training must occur outside regular hours the bill would require programs to inform and consult staff, pay attendees at their regular rate including any overtime, and prohibit penalties for nonattendance.
