Summary
Adds the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands to the Small Business Administration's microloan program. The bill would amend the Small Business Act so CNMI can participate in the SBA microloan program. It would also change a numeric eligibility parameter by replacing “1/55” with “1/56” and revise the statutory wording that defines a rural qualifier. These edits expand geographic access to microloans and tweak two technical eligibility rules within the program.
