Gold Star Spouses Health Care Enhancement Act

Summary

Extends TRICARE Prime eligibility for Gold Star surviving spouses. This bill would remove the three-year cap that limits access to TRICARE Prime medical and TRICARE Prime dental for dependents who qualify as surviving spouses because a member's death is covered under section 1126 of title 10. The change applies retroactively so eligible Gold Star surviving spouses are not barred from Prime benefits based on how long ago the service member died.
