Specialist Fourth Class Keith Smith Glioblastoma Parity Act of 2025
Sponsored By: Representative Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick, Sheila [D-FL-20]
In Committee
Summary
Establishes a presumption that glioblastoma multiforme is service-connected for certain Vietnam-era veterans exposed to Agent Orange. This bill would add glioblastoma multiforme to 38 U.S.C. 1116(a)(2) so veterans who served in specified locations during the Vietnam era could receive service connection for the disease. It records that about 13 million gallons of Agent Orange were sprayed and that exposure continues to harm veterans, Vietnamese people, Vietnamese Americans, and their children.

VA presumption for glioblastoma in Vietnam veterans
This bill would add glioblastoma multiforme to VA’s list of Agent Orange presumptive diseases. If you served in the Vietnam‑era locations covered by the rule and have this diagnosis, VA would treat it as service‑connected. That could make you eligible for VA disability pay and VA health care. The bill does not specify an effective date.
