If enacted, Tony's Wabeno Redi-Mix, LLC would be able to buy about 14 acres in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. The Agriculture Department would have up to 300 days after enactment to finish an appraisal. After approval of the appraisal, the company would have 180 days to offer the appraised price. If it does, the Secretary would have to transfer the land, including mineral rights, within 180 days.
