More Medicaid funding for urban Indian care
If enacted, states could claim federal Medicaid matching when care is provided through a qualifying urban Indian health organization. The organization must have an Indian Health Service grant or contract. This would not change who qualifies for Medicaid, but it could support access at these clinics. The bill does not set an effective date or dollar amounts.
