Veterans could keep adding to Thrift Savings Plan

This bill would let some former service members put part of their military retired pay or 100% VA disability pay into the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) after leaving service. You would need to have had a TSP account before you separated, and you cannot be a current employee. You would make your election using the normal TSP process. There would be no government matching or automatic contributions. If enacted, this would take effect on enactment, and agencies would issue rules within 180 days.
