Summary
Transfers approximately 295.9 acres of National Forest land in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache to Fruit Heights, Utah, for public use. The bill would direct the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Chief of the Forest Service, to convey the property by quitclaim deed within 30 days of enactment at no cost, subject to valid existing rights and a reserved easement for the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, require the city to pay for a survey and reasonable administrative survey costs, allow the Secretary to correct minor map errors and attach other terms to protect U.S. interests, and make the land revert to the United States if it is used for anything other than public purposes.

Fruit Heights receives Forest land

The transfer would be by quitclaim deed, without consideration, and would occur not later than 30 days after enactment. The deed would reserve an easement for the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and allow the Secretary to correct minor map errors and keep the map on file for public inspection. The exact acreage would be set by a survey the city must pay for, and the city would pay reasonable survey and related administrative costs. The land must be used only for public purposes and could revert to the United States if used inconsistently, and the Secretary could add other terms to protect U.S. interests.
