Summary
Freezes the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR) for H-2B workers. The bill would let the Secretary of Labor keep the AEWR at the rate in effect on enactment for a two-year period when the Secretary determines there is no valid method to recalculate it.

Two-year hold on H-2B required wages
This bill would let the Labor Secretary keep the current required wage for H-2B workers for up to two years after enactment. It would only apply if the Secretary finds there is no valid way to set a new rate. Employers that hire H-2B workers could have stable labor costs. H-2B workers might miss possible raises during that time. Updates could resume sooner if a valid method exists.
