Colorectal Cancer Payment Fairness Act

No Medicare coinsurance for colon cancer screenings

If enacted, this bill would end coinsurance for certain colorectal cancer screening tests under Medicare. Medicare would pay 100% of the allowed amount for these tests in each year after 2026, so you would not owe the 15% coinsurance. Your savings would equal about 15% of Medicare’s allowed amount per test. The bill also removes the prior end date (January 1, 2030), so this change would not sunset. The policy would take effect upon enactment.
