Child tax credit for stillbirths

If you had a stillbirth at 20 weeks or later, you could count that child for the Child Tax Credit. The bill defines stillbirth as delivery after a spontaneous pregnancy loss at 20 weeks or more. The child would be treated as if they died right after delivery. You could claim the same credit as for a live-born child, if you meet the other rules. ID rules for a tax ID or Social Security number would be waived if the child would have qualified after birth. This would apply to tax years ending after enactment.
