Show full summary
  • Congress: The House Ways and Means Committee and the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee would receive these reports every three months.
  • Inspector General: Each report would cover the three-month period ending one month before submission and must list the number of investigations, the number of criminal prosecutions and civil actions that began because of those investigations, the dollar amount alleged in each case, the charges alleged, and the number of individuals and entities excluded from Federal health care programs for convictions or other acts related to Medicare and Medicaid fraud.

*No additional amounts are authorized to carry out this requirement and the reports must be prepared using funds otherwise appropriated to the Secretary of Health and Human Services or the HHS Office of Inspector General.*
