USS Frank E. Evans Act
Sponsored By: Representative Flood
Introduced
Summary
Adds the 74 crew members of the USS Frank E. Evans who were killed June 3, 1969 to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. The bill would require the Secretary of Defense to authorize their inclusion within one year of enactment. It would also require consultation with the Secretary of the Interior, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, and other authorities about name wording and placement to address any space limits. Chapter 89 of Title 40, the Commemorative Works Act, would not apply to these actions.
