New labels for abortion-inducing drugs

This bill would set a national label rule for drugs used to end a pregnancy. Each label would need the dispenser’s name and address and the prescriber’s name; otherwise the drug would be deemed misbranded. States and cities could not use weaker labeling rules. It defines “abortion-inducing drug” and excludes drugs used to remove a dead unborn child or treat an ectopic pregnancy. The rule would take effect when enacted.
