More housing help for college students

This bill would let HUD waive rules so certain college students can get tenant-based housing vouchers. It would remove a prior ban in a 2006 appropriations law. The waiver would cover students who are enrolled in an institution of higher education, live in school-maintained student housing, and are otherwise eligible for a voucher. If enacted, that housing help would not count as income for federal student financial aid, for cooperative education income calculations, for certain national service living allowances, or for child support determinations. The change would take effect upon enactment.
