This bill would prohibit the Department of Defense from using funds authorized for fiscal year 2026 to impose a hiring freeze at a public shipyard. It would also prohibit using those FY2026 DoD funds to carry out a reduction in force or to delay without cause filling a vacant federal civilian employee position at a public shipyard.
