More VA life insurance for veterans
This bill would expand a VA life insurance program by removing the requirement that you be "service-disabled." If you apply for this insurance before you turn 81, you would be eligible under the revised rule. The bill would also renumber and update internal cross-references in the statute.
Space Force added to TSGLI
This bill would add the U.S. Space Force to the list of services eligible for Traumatic Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance. If you are a Space Force member, your family would be able to receive the same TSGLI payments other uniformed services get. The change would take effect upon enactment.
Reimburse VA mortgage life costs
This bill would require the VA each fiscal year to calculate administrative costs for Veterans' Mortgage Life Insurance. The VA would reimburse its General Operating Expenses and IT accounts from the "Veterans Insurance and Indemnities" appropriation account. The bill does not set specific dollar amounts.
