This bill would ban federal funding and U.S. action for invasions of NATO member countries and territories covered by Articles 5 and 6. It would prohibit federal funds from being appropriated or used for such invasions and would bar U.S. officers and employees from taking action to execute an invasion of those nations or territories. The prohibition is codified in the statute text as a focused policy ban.

Ban on U.S. invasions of NATO members
If enacted, the bill would bar federal funds for an invasion of any country that is a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It would also bar federal funds for an invasion of any territory covered by Article 5. This includes territory described in Article 6. The bill would prevent any U.S. officer or employee from taking action to execute such an invasion. The rule would take effect upon enactment.
