  • States and funding: The bill would rescind unobligated balances that were set aside in the extended unemployment compensation account of the Unemployment Trust Fund and bar states from entering or reentering agreements to provide the federal emergency increase.
  • Administration and transition: The Secretary may keep paying certain state payments and cover administrative expenses during the transition. The Unemployment Trust Fund’s normal administration would continue while those program authorities wind down.
