Grants to reshore jobs and grow manufacturing
The bill would let the federal Economic Development Administration fund more kinds of projects. State and local governments, development groups, manufacturers, and firms moving jobs back to the U.S. would be able to seek grants. Money would be allowed for planning, worker training, research, technical help, and economic adjustment projects that reshore jobs and grow manufacturing. Grants would still follow existing program rules and depend on available funding. These changes would take effect upon enactment.
