Summary
Allows U.S. officials to display Taiwan's national symbols in official settings. This bill would direct the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense to permit members of Taiwan's armed forces and representatives of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office to display the Republic of China (Taiwan) flag and corresponding military emblems for specific official uses. Those uses are wearing official uniforms, government-hosted ceremonies or functions, and appearances on Department of State and Department of Defense social media that promote engagements with Taiwan. The permission is limited to these listed official purposes.

Allow Taiwan flag for military and representatives
If enacted, the Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense would be required to allow certain displays of Republic of China (Taiwan) sovereignty symbols. This would take effect upon enactment.
