Monthly labor data by demographics
If enacted, this bill would require the Secretary of Labor to collect Bureau of Labor Statistics data and post it online in accordance with the first section of Public Law 94-311. Reports would be posted by the first Friday of each month. Each report would include unemployment data disaggregated at minimum by geography, race, ethnicity, and gender. Job seekers, workers, researchers, employers, and small businesses would get more frequent and clearer labor information.
