Appeals for Trusted Traveler denials

If enacted, you would be able to appeal if your enrollment in a Trusted Traveler program is denied, suspended, or ended early. The department would have to give you written notice saying the reason. The notice would also explain how to appeal, any other appeal options, and how to reapply, with relevant dates and time frames. If you appeal through the Traveler Redress Inquiry Program (TRIP), the department would send a written status update at least once every 30 days while the appeal is pending. Within 90 days after enactment, DHS would post the appeal rules and a phone number for appeal-status inquiries on a DHS website. This would apply to TSA PreCheck; Global Entry, SENTRI, FAST; NEXUS; and the APEC Business Travel Card.
