Defense Production Act help for businesses

If enacted, this bill would require the Committee to create an online one-stop toolkit within 365 days to help Federal agencies share how to use Defense Production Act authorities (it would exclude authorities under section 721 and title VIII). The toolkit would explain the solicitation process, how to submit offers and get assistance, and list contract and other funding opportunities for businesses, including small businesses. It would include a searchable list of awards with awardee identifiers and any priority rating, descriptions of voluntary agreements and executive reserves, and a contact person at each agency. Within 365 days after the toolkit is ready, the Committee would make outreach plans for each agency, update those plans at least annually, and federal reports would have to describe those outreach activities.
