The resolution supports continued research toward better treatments and a cure, recognizes people who take part in clinical trials, commends organizations and caregivers, and cites projections that cases could reach 1.7 million by 2045 with an estimated U.S. cost of $112.4 billion and caregiver lost earnings of $8.3 billion in 2024.
