This resolution would formally commend the Coast Guard's heroic response to the catastrophic July 4, 2025 flooding across central Texas. It would note that MH-65 helicopter CG-6553 and its crew, including rescue swimmer AST3 Scott Ruskan, helped triage and rescue 165 people across three landing zones, that the crew airlifted 15 more, and that the Coast Guard deployed 54 personnel with eight MH-65 helicopters and two HC-144 aircraft while expressing deep gratitude to all federal, state, and local responders and volunteers.
