Finalize Cape Fox land transfer

If enacted, the bill would define Cape Fox, the Federal land, the Map (dated December 18, 2023), and the Secretary. Cape Fox could submit a written notice within 90 days to select about 180 acres shown on that Map. If Cape Fox does so, the Secretary would convey the surface estate to Cape Fox and the subsurface estate to Sealaska, and would complete those conveyances as soon as practicable but not later than 180 days after receiving the notice. The bill would also waive Cape Fox's obligation to select or receive about 185 acres inside its township (about 40 acres in T.74 S., R.90 E., sec.10 and about 144.57 acres in T.75 S., R.91 E., sec.1). The Federal land conveyance would be subject to a reserved public easement under ANCSA section 17(b) to allow access inland from George Inlet.
