Audits and fixes for benefits systems
If enacted, the GAO would start a full audit within 60 days of federal computer systems linked to the U.S. DOGE Service. The GAO must prioritize Social Security, HHS/CMS, and Treasury/IRS. The GAO must report audit results and recommendations for those priority agencies within 1 year. Reports for other agencies would be due within 2 years. If an agency gets a GAO report, it would have 90 days to fix the listed vulnerabilities and send a status report to the relevant congressional committee.
