New Medicare marketing rules and rewards

If enacted, the HHS Secretary would write three rules to curb Medicare marketing scams. If enacted, one rule would offer monetary rewards to people who report call centers running Medicare marketing scams. If enacted, another rule would define and separate third‑party marketing organizations from independent agents and require lead generation to meet licensed agent standards. If enacted, a third rule would make a single, standard registration for independent agents and brokers used by Part C and D plans. Each rule would get a public notice, at least 90 days of comment, and a final rule within one year. OIRA review would be capped at 60 days.

End Medicare 48-hour wait rule

If enacted, the bill would stop HHS from enforcing the 48‑hour waiting rule between a Scope of Appointment and a meeting. If enacted, Medicare beneficiaries could meet independent agents or brokers without a required delay after scheduling. This change would take effect upon enactment.
