Mobile cancer screening grants for rural

This bill would fund mobile cancer screening units to reach rural and underserved areas. The Secretary of HHS, through HRSA, would award grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements to eligible nonprofits, Federally‑qualified health centers, academic health centers, health systems, or consortia. Awards could pay for a commercial vehicle, imaging machines, digital tools, and other startup or operating costs the Secretary finds essential. Each award could not exceed $2,000,000. Recipients would need to provide at least $1 in non‑Federal funds for every $3 of the award. HRSA would prioritize applicants serving high‑risk or underserved people and those able to provide follow‑up care within 90 minutes by ground. HRSA would report to Congress within four years. The bill would authorize $15,000,000 for each fiscal year from 2027 through 2031 to run the program.
