Creates a $525 plot or interment allowance to help cover burials of certain family members of veterans in State or local cemeteries. Payments would be made to the State or local authority that owns the cemetery and can be increased over time by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

- Families: Spouses, surviving spouses (including those who remarried), minor children under 21, minor children under 23 if in school, and at the Secretary's discretion unmarried adult children can qualify. Eligibility applies to deaths on or after enactment.
- State and local cemetery owners: The State, a State agency, or a political subdivision that owns the cemetery would receive $525 for each eligible burial, and that base amount may be adjusted later under existing law.

Burial payment for veterans' families
If enacted, this bill would pay $525 to a State or local government that owns a cemetery when an eligible person is buried there. Eligible people would include a spouse, a surviving spouse (even if remarried), a child under 21, or a child under 23 if in school. The VA Secretary could also make an unmarried adult child of certain veterans eligible. The payment would go to the State, agency, or political subdivision that owns the cemetery. The Secretary could increase the amount later under existing authority. These changes would take effect on the date of enactment and apply to deaths on or after that date.
