Declassify COVID-19 origin intelligence

If enacted, the Director of National Intelligence and intelligence agency heads would have 180 days to review and declassify intelligence about COVID-19 origins. The review would cover research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, gain-of-function studies, and sources of funding for coronavirus research. It would also cover alleged efforts by Chinese officials or entities to obstruct or limit sharing of information, including limits on sharing with the U.S., allies, or the World Health Organization. The bill would require making appropriately declassified products public, with redactions only to protect sources, methods, and U.S. persons. Unredacted versions of those declassified products would be sent to the congressional intelligence committees.
