Show full summary
  • Consumers and families: Would block products marketed as dietary supplements when they do not meet the legal definition, aiming to reduce exposure to mislabeled or dangerous products.
  • Importers and retailers: Would extend import-exclusion rules so shipments tied to the new prohibited acts can be stopped at the border, increasing risk of denied entry for noncompliant goods.
  • Manufacturers and suppliers: Would make it unlawful to introduce supplements prepared or handled with the assistance of people debarred under existing law and would let authorities seize products that violate the new prohibitions.
